Bolsters are important to get past 40k, 100% comps gives 3k and 100% mounts give 6k. Then in each of your comp bonuses (offense, defence etc) gives 750 IL, 3x epic undermountain comp gear gives 3030 IL, all leg insignia total 3k etc. I think unless you think you need the added stacked features, the compact deluxe is everything you need. I went from a walrus deep six to the Compact deluxe and even though I found the buffer to add alot of high end to my chain, I cannot live without the cali76 compact deluxe. But to get back to the question, The MXR is pretty cool and no it's not a piece of trash. Does what a comp is suposed to do. Found it kind of a tone sucker though, but at the time I had a pretty ****** amp so YMMV. This 12-speed drivetrain offers a massive gear range with a 30-tooth chainring and 12 gears spread over the 11-50-tooth cassette.
