The GMC Terrain has been updated for 2020 with a wide variety of new safety features to you safe. The all-new GMC Pro Safety package and the upgraded Driver Alert package include a wealth of new technologies that demonstrate General Motors’ commitment to integrating standard active safety features into the automaker’s already-impressive vehicle lineup.
For the first time in the Terrain’s history, the 2020 model comes standard will a full suite of active safety features referred to as the GMC Pro Safety package. Forward Collision Alert can help you avoid a fender-bender by issuing a notification when you are too close to the vehicle in front of you. The newest GMC Terrain also includes automatic braking that activates when the sensors have determined a crash with another vehicle is likely or if a pedestrian is detected in front of the vehicle. Lane Keep Assist will help you stay in your lane by gently correcting steering when the sensors detect you have driven over a lane boundary. Other standard safety features included in the GMC Pro Safety suite on the 2020 Terrain include a Following Distance Indicator and IntelliBeam Headlamps.
In addition to the already-robust GMC Pro Safety package, the new 2020 Terrain comes with an optional Driver Alert package that features even more advanced safety technologies. Adaptive Cruise Control makes long trips on the highway a breeze by using camera technology to adjust the vehicle’s speed based on the speed of the vehicle ahead, without the need for braking or acceleration. The available Rear Park Assist feature gives you real-time feedback when reversing into a parking spot, allowing you to avoid otherwise unseen objects. Other available safety technologies in the Driver Alert package include Lane Change Alert, Safety Alert Seat, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Side Blind Zone Alert.
