The Dodge Challenger’s base engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 with dual overhead camshafts, exhaust ports, and a high-flow intake system. The V6 delivers 305 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque, and it gets 30 mpg on the highway.* The Challenger also offers a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine with 375 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. The 392 HEMI® V8 engine throws out 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, allowing the Challenger to go from 0 to 60 mph in approximately four seconds and travel a quarter mile in roughly 12.5 seconds. The supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® SRT Hellcat V8 engine comes with a whopping 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. These engines are paired with either the TorqueFlite® eight-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual.
